Frequently Asked Questions

• When should I come to Montreal?
• We'll start on Monday the 8th May at 9.00 am. You can arrive on Sunday afternoon to check into the accommodation.
• When should I leave?
• CIAR students/postdocs are expected to stay for the main meeting as well, which follows directly from the summer school. This will finish on the morning of Sunday 14th May (the last session is usually a private AGM for the program members only; in practice you could probably leave Saturday evening, but check the main meeting agenda here).
• Who gets travel expenses?
• Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed by the CIAR for up to two students/postdocs of program members. Talk to your program member to see if you're one of the two.
• How much does it cost?
• Accommodation and registration are free.
  
• What about the Main Meeting of the Quantum Materials Program?
• CIAR students/postdocs are expected to also attend the main meeting. If you register for the Summer School we will also sign you up for the Main Meeting. Please do not sign up on the main meeting website.
• Where are we staying?
• We'll be staying in the Bishop Mountain Hall residences on the McGill campus. This comprises 4 student residences surrounding a cafeteria where breakfast will be served daily. More info is here.
