Area of Research

Theoretical studies of strongly correlated elctrons (or quantum materials) focusing mostly on models for high-temperature superconductors.

Ongoing Research

My group and I are working on new theoretical approaches to the high-temperature conductors. These new tools allow us to understand generic models of interacting electrons in non-perturbative regimes. All the way from weak to strong coupling, we can have achieve agreement with Monte Carlo simulations and understand new mechanisms for anomalous properties of the metallic state. In particular we have suggested a mechanism for pseudogap formation and understood how antiferromagnetic fluctuations can both help and hinder d-wave superconductivity.
