Pedro Lopes a obtenu son doctorat à l'Universidad Estadual de Campinas (Brésil), sous la supervision d'Amir Caldeira. Pendant son doctorat, Pedro a fait plusieurs séjours à l'Université d'Illinois Urbana-Champaign, où il a travaillé avec Taylor Hughes et Shinsei Ryu. À Sherbrooke, il a une bourse postdoctorale de prestige, octroyée par l'Institut Quantique.
Pedro Lopes obtained his PhD at Universidad Estadual de Campinas (Brazil), under the supervision of Amir Caldeira. During his doctorate, Pedro made several long-term visits to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he worked with Taylor Hughes and Shinsei Ryu. In Sherbrooke, he is the holder of a prized postdoctoral position from the Institut Quantique.
